Rules: Variation of Nanro.

Label some cells with numbers to form a single connected group of labeled cells. No 2×2 group of cells may be fully labeled. Each number must be equal to the total count of labeled cells in that bold region, and all bold regions contain at least one labeled cell. The given numbers indicate how many cells are labeled in that region (but not necessarily which cells are labeled). When two numbers are orthogonally adjacent across a region boundary, the numbers must be different.

Rules: Standard Tapa rules. Also, numbers outside the grid show the number of separate wall segments visible in that direction. A segment of length N in a given direction is taken as a building of height N. Buildings of height N block the view of all buildings behind them of equal or lesser height.

Rules: Standard Skyscrapers rules. Also, as in Thermo-Sudoku, digits must be strictly increasing in all thermometer shapes from round bulb to flat end. Note that the lower-left corner thermometer is four cells long; a digit should go in the bulb, the bend, and the two other cells under grid columns 1 and 2. The digit in the bend is not a Skyscrapers clues.

Answer String: Enter the six digits in the 4th row from left to right, followed by a comma, followed by the six digits in the 5th row from left to right.

Author/Opus: This is the 262th puzzle from our contributing puzzlemaster Grant Fikes.

Rules: (Combination of Minesweeper, Double Minesweeper, and Statue Park rules.)

Place each of the tetrominoes exactly once into the grid, with rotations and reflections allowed. No two tetrominoes can overlap or be orthogonally adjacent. Each cell in the tetrominoes is given a numeric value, and the numbered cells in the grid indicate the count of the values of the tetromino parts in all surrounding cells (including diagonally adjacent cells). Numbered cells cannot contain tetrominoes, and all of the space not occupied by tetrominoes including any numbered cells must be connected.

Answer String: For each cell in the marked rows, enter the total value of tetromino pieces present (1 or 2) for each filled cell and 0 for any numbered cell and any empty cell. Separate each row’s entry from the next with a comma. An example answer string is: “0220111102,0110220200,1102220102”.

Rules: Variation of Yajilin. Blacken some white cells and then draw a single closed loop (without intersections or crossings) through all remaining white cells. Blackened cells cannot share an edge with each other. A number in a region indicates how many white cells must be blackened. Cells with number clues may be blackened.

Answer String: Enter the length in cells of the horizontal loop segments from left to right in the marked rows, starting at the top. If the loop only has vertical segments in the marked row, enter 0. Separate each row’s entry with a comma.
