Rules: Variant of Masyu rules. The loop turns in every black circle and goes straight through at least one adjacent square. The loop goes straight through every white circle and turns in both adjacent squares.

Rules: Classic Sudoku Rules. Also, some arrow shapes are in the grid; the sum of the digits along the path of each arrow must equal the digit in the circled cell. Some thermometer shapes are in the grid; digits must be strictly increasing from the round bulb to each flat end. Finally, some diamond shapes are in the grid; the labeled diamonds below the grid must be placed in some order onto the shapes in the grid. The labeled diamonds can be rotated but cannot be reflected.

Answer String: Enter the 1st row from left to right, followed by a comma, followed by the 9th row from left to right.

Rules: Standard Tapa rules. Also, similar to Nurikabe, each clue cell is part of an island of horizontally and vertically connected white cells. Islands are allowed to touch diagonally. Islands may contain at most one clue cell, and the area of the island must be one of the numbers in the clue (as an example, if a clue is 15, then the island containing that clue must be either 1 cell or 5 cells large).

Rules: (Standard Balance Loop rules.) Draw a single, non-intersecting loop that passes through all circled cells. All white circles must have equal segment lengths on both sides of the circle before turning. All black circles must have unequal segment lengths on both sides of the circle before turning. Numbers indicate the sum of the segment lengths on both sides of the circle.

Rules: Shade some cells in the grid to create a one cell-wide snake. The position of the head and tail of the snake are not known. The snake cannot touch itself, not even diagonally. The remaining unshaded numbers in the grid indicate how many of the surrounding cells are occupied by the snake.

Author/Opus: This is the 143rd puzzle from our contributing puzzlemaster Prasanna Seshadri.

Rules: Standard Fillomino rules. Also, if there is a white dot between two adjacent cells, then those cells must contain numbers that differ by one. If there is a black dot between two adjacent cells, then one of the numbers must be twice the other. Either a white or black dot can separate 1 and 2. All possible dots are given (i.e., no unmarked borders can have numbers that differ by 1 or have a quotient of 2).

Answer String: For each cell in the marked rows/columns, enter the area of the polyomino it belongs to. Enter just the last digit for any two-digit number. Start with the 2nd row, followed by a comma, followed by the 8th row.
