Awesome. That beats my own retesting time, but I was mentally shutting off pointing pairs and above while solving it.
2’14… missed 4 seconds to be a “sudoku master”, haha !
I look forward to see what’s coming on this new blog.
2:45 … looks like I’m falling behind 🙂 nice puzzle and looking forward to more. Good luck with your new site Thomas.
I really like the idea to tell how much it takes for different kind of solvers and your evaluation seems pretty accurate – how ever you do that. Even better is to compare your result afterwards. Some other day it might take more time, but today it took 1:48 for me.
Several testers, and experience. I’m sure I won’t always be spot on for every solver every time since there is sometimes luck involved, but I hope to give a better indication of how much time a person should set aside for the puzzles.
Really nice easy classic. It took me 1:47 to fill in the marked columns and 15 more seconds to finnish the whole puzzle. But I don´t consider myself to be “sudoku master”. Otherwise Happy New Year to everybody!

1:29 on this first puzzle. Quite satisfied, I must say.
Setting up time standards is an interesting idea that may certainly prove entertaining as well as encouraging for novice and intermediate players. I wish this good initiative reaches its goal!
