Not sure I understand how to enter the answer string. Is there an example on a simple completed puzzle somewhere?
You might look at the example puzzle under the rules for Masyu, which uses the same style of answer key and gives the answer key for the worked example.
Ah thanks, I was shading entire cells (different colors) to complete, so was very much miscalculating widths by 1, thanks for masyu tip cleared it up!
Thanks Jack for the pointer. We mostly use this line length form for our loop puzzles (Masyu, Yajilin, Castle Wall, Balance Loop, …) but it makes sense that without a canonical rules page for Numberlink this is a harder style to understand the rule for. I’ll fix this before we post our next Numberlink.
