I find it very frustrating not to be able to trust white circles to actually be white, and yet somehow at the same time I find the challenge level of these puzzles just hits that perfect sweet spot. Go figure. 🙂

I have a similar feeling. This is the first Deformable Masyu I’ve actually attempted. I had seen that there were a couple published during 2014 so those are on my list to attempt at some point. But when I saw them previously they looked really intimidating.
So I approached this expecting some frustration, but instead was rewarded with a very satisfying puzzle. Thanks, Murat!
I’m glad both of you enjoyed it! Thanks Carl, I feel special 😀
I thought the instructions were a prank at first, because the first half of my solve didn’t involve shading any white circles at all. Was that a hidden logical theme? I like it.
🙂 kind of. I did entertain the idea of making a deformable masyu where nothing ends up changing. This one doesn’t take it to the extreme and while few actually changes color, it is that possibility that makes up part of the challenge.
