or solve online (using our beta test of Penpa-Edit tools; use tab to shift between shading mode and the composite Yajilin mode where left click marks cells, right click marks dots in cells or X’s on edges, left click+drag draws lines.)
Theme: Clue Symmetry and Logic
Author/Opus: This is the 16th puzzle from guest contributor Murat Can Tonta.
Rules: Standard Tapa rules. Also, the shaded region must be able to be split into tetrominoes to form a valid LITS solution (meaning all tetrominoes are connected but no two tetrominoes sharing an edge are the same shape, including rotations and reflections).
Answer String: Enter the length in cells of each of the shaded segments from left to right for the marked rows, starting at the top. Separate each row’s entry from the next with a comma.
Time Standards (highlight to view): Grandmaster = 12:00, Master = 25:00, Expert = 50:00

Had to guess where the last five tetrominoes go. Was there a logical path at the very end?
Did you finish in the upper right? I found that to be the hardest part, but this puzzle does split into a few independent sections depending on when you see certain break-ins.
I definitely finished at the upper right, and there was a little bit of trial and error involved, but yeah, I think there’s a pretty clean logical solution (for that, as well as the rest of the puzzle).
Is it possible to have a walkthrough of this one ?
Got it in 43min ! Didn’t found the upper right part really more difficult than the rest XD
Wow! That felt like an heroic effort to get through.
I stupidly tried to finish the puzzle before seeing a fairly essential breakin. (N ybiryl bar va gur ybjre-evtug-unaq pbeare.) Everything went much smoother after that.
Thanks for the great puzzle.
