Author/Opus: This is the 45.5th* puzzle from our contributing puzzlemaster Prasanna Seshadri. (*we enumerated wrong a long time ago and can’t fully adjust now)
Rules: Standard Tapa rules.
Answer String: Enter the length in cells of each of the shaded segments from left to right for the marked rows, starting at the top. Separate each row’s entry from the next with a comma.

The logic flow is much more like CtS than Tapa, I think. Ditto for the appearance of the solution as it comes up. Certainly some terra incognita for Tapa.

I really enjoyed the flow on this one.
This was my first time to ever time myself completing a puzzle. I thought it had gone pretty quickly, but I was startled to find it took me 17:00. Oh well.
PS. I just checked, and the fastest I could re-create my scribbling is 1:30. So I could shave a *little* time using a program with a flood fill, but clearly the bulk of the slowness is in my head, not my fingers.
