Rules: Standard Nurikabe rules.
Answer String: Enter the length in cells of each of the black segments (the unnumbered, connected “ocean”) from left to right for the marked rows, starting at the top. Separate each row’s entry from the next with a comma.

Solved as much by “I see what I’m pretty sure you did there … yep, that’s what you did there” as by rigorous logic.
4:23.A 9X9 or a 10×10? seems a better theme for this 🙂

(On a very related note, I hear Prasanna also scored 29 seconds. Whoa.)
I haven’t proven uniqueness though; that seems to be the meaty part of the puzzle. 😛 Nicely done.
Hah, yes, proving uniqueness is a little more challenging. I do like puzzles where you can do by feel, but I would advise everyone that every now and again I throw a spanner in the works of what “feels” like the nice solution 😉
