Awesome variant 🙂
Is it original to GMP? Or are there more puzzles of this type out there?
Last year we prepared a book named Toketa. Some Japanese constructors and I prepared some familiar and some new types in there. This one was one of them. You can see the book blog page: http://puzzle-toketa.blogspot.com.tr/
3rd page belongs to Symmetry (Tentaishow-Fillomino)
Also this type appeared in 14th 24 Hours Puzzle Championship Japanese part: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ph4ntyc2r761r4c/0aD5DxVVoo/05_24h_2014jap_puzzles.pdf
I have the book, and I must say the puzzles are quite interesting.
Ahh, eight new puzzles just on the sample pages! Great, thank you 🙂
This was a very nice variant. The interactions between the 4’s and 5’s are fun. I’d be tempted to call it Galaxy Fillomino after the superficial similarity with Spiral Galaxies, even though the actual feel of the puzzle is actually rather different.
I’ve seen them in a book sold in Beijing, Serkan is one of the authors: http://puzzle-toketa.blogspot.jp
Sold in Beijing? You mean during some Puzzle event? Is there any way to buy it online?
I think this one works:

03:59. Ouch, that one was a difficult variant.
Great construction. Felt like intuited at a few places, but I suppose that’s just me not being used to this variant, which is a new one for me too.
