Nice puzzle, but nobody puts Baby in a corner.
Especially since she’s married to Agent Coulsen now…
I had the time of my life, solving this puzzle.
02:32. Unusual opening and fairly narrow solving path I think? It’s a great treat anyway.
I once did a nurikabe with 12 5-islands representing the 12 different pentominoes, and the remaining islands being either 1’s or 2’s. X and U posed the most difficulty as a constructor, and I’m quite a big fan of the logic needed to get them working.
I think Palmer has a pentomino nurikabe in his archives as well…
Right, 107, which seemed to inspire some of the smaller pentomino-themed Nurikabes made by others afterwards. In contrast to the more specialized nature of puzzles like the one here, mine was a normalish 36 by 20 with the twelve 5 clues scattered all over and lots of other numbers. Not quite as clean or noticeable an execution.
I liked the “nose tesuji”. Neat puzzle.
