Wacky Wednesday?
I found a consistent solution if we treat those as greater than or equal to signs, which I don’t think was intended. (The answer check doesn’t work on my work computer, so maybe it was.) I’ll have to take another look in a few hours to see if I can figure out where I went wrong.
Checking the puzzle, I do see some potential wrong answers that permute values to leave the R2/R3 matched buildings being equal. You really must obey the inequalities strictly as this is how the puzzle was intended to work.
Re: Wacky Wednesday — My new policy, since we’ll have more than 2 unusual puzzles this week, is to just sort the week by overall difficulty. I was trying too hard to pigeonhole puzzles into Tuesdays that didn’t belong. I’d rather lose the naming gimmick than put easy/hard puzzles in the wrong place.
silly me (again), took me a few seconds to realize it’s not a square…
