No, my blog will continue as per usual.
Although on reflection, for most of 2013 there has very much been a sudoku flavour to my blog, so the occasional puzzle here will compliment things nicely!

It is trickier than a normal Monday.
You know, when I saw the Yajilin article yesterday, I couldn’t help but be reminded of Tom’s earlier puzzles involving that sort of presentation. I didn’t think he’d be a contributing puzzlemaker so soon afterwards! Welcome to the fold Tom!
49 seconds, with use of uniqueness logic with the white pearl in R4C6. I agree; this was hard as I couldn’t find any other possible breakthrough. I’m sure, however, that the intended path (I spotted it AFTER the uniqueness logic) would have been to realize that gur oynpx crney arnerfg gur gbc yrsg pbeare pnaabg cbffvoyl tb yrsg, nf guvf jbhyq sbepr n pybfrq ybbc. Yes, this IS trickier than a normal Monday I suppose.
