  • Scott Handelman says:

My time sucked, because I immediately said “Okay, 21 = 6+6+5+5” and then five minutes later couldn’t figure out why I kept getting a contradiction.

    • Aaron Chan says:

How did you even come up with that. Arithmetic aside, a 6+6+5+5 will guarantee a non-unique solution.

      • Scott Handelman says:

        Because I can’t add, clearly.

Actually, it was probably a combination of “I can’t add” and “I know what kind of logical deduction he wants me to make here, so I’m not even going to check if I’m right.”

    Nice easy one.

  • hagriddler says:

Yes nice and easy if you start from the right clues, which I clearly did not do… My gut feeling said : let’s ignore that “1” clue on the right for a while because that must have way to many options to start from, silly me 🙂

    • Anuraag Sahay says:

That ‘1’ ,along with the ’24’ was one of the two places you should be looking for as soon as you see the puzzle.Sometimes adding the prospective sums helps determine which regions are definitely sums/products.But this puzzle did not require doing it.
