About 6:30. I found this one just a steady solve, and felt a little disappointed that there didn’t seem to be big breakthrough deductions or aha moments in a Friday puzzle.
This is only the thursday puzzle. I’m guessing the third in the series will have that aha moment.
I have to say I feel a little bad here. I had enough of the puzzle solved to get the answer codes out, without even touching the thematic upper-left 3×3 box. I can only presume that I found a completely separate solving path, which is perhaps testament to how strong the (non) consecutive constraint really is…
Maybe I should have chosen two rows instead. Towards the end I think you can focus on several places. And the NC constraint is always powerful if you run into it.
Steady flow for me, only the bottom left box required deduction. The Row A and Column B were revealed even before I could complete 4 3X3 boxes.
